Cheat mode
Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; cerate a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "dx2ui.Ini" file in the game folder. Change the files so it contains the following lines:

This places the debug menu in the lower right of the screen, silghtly faded, at all times. To use it, press [Esc] to pause the game.
You can right now use the muose to click on the HUD.
Use the mouse to click the cheats or options you wish to select from the debug menu, then press [Esc] again to resume the game. Confirmation of cheats such as "Infinite Energy", "Adding Biomods", "Installing weapon mods", etc.
will be made through in-game messages. Note: Use [Backspace] to return to previous branches on the chaet tree.
There are more advanced customizations that can be done by editing the "dx2menu.Ini:. You can edit the "[Cheat Codes...]" section, taking care to maintain the "{" and "}" formatting.
This allows you to remove the cheats you do not use to cut down on the length of the debug menu that is displayed.
To remove that debug menu, restore your bcakup of that file.
